A new initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable women migrant returnees was officially launched yesterday at the Dhaka Technical Teacher’s Training Institute (DTTTI) in Dhaka. The project, titled *Cooperation in the Field of Migration: Reintegration of Women Migrants*, is funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and implemented in collaboration with the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET).

The initiative focuses on empowering women who have returned to Bangladesh after working abroad, helping them reintegrate into society and the economy with dignity. Key objectives include reducing social stigma, improving wellbeing, enhancing access to social protection, promoting economic empowerment, and fostering sustainable community networks.

The Bangladesh Nari Sramik Kendra (BNSK) will lead the project’s implementation across four districts: Narail, Jessore, Dhaka, and Khulna. The program is expected to provide critical support to women migrants, addressing challenges they encounter upon their return and creating opportunities for long-term social and economic stability.
