Dhaka, August 3, 2025 – Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh Ghanashyam Bhandari emphasized the need to enhance connectivity, cultural exchanges, and tourism to foster deeper people-to-people relations between Nepal and Bangladesh during a roundtable discussion in Dhaka on Sunday. The event, titled "Bangladesh-Nepal Relations: A Renewed Outlook," was jointly organized by the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) and the Nepal Economic Forum (NEF).
Ambassador Bhandari highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts on regional and multilateral platforms, particularly in areas such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate change, migration, disaster preparedness, and peacekeeping. He reviewed ongoing initiatives and proposed measures to strengthen bilateral economic ties, focusing on sectors like trade, investment, energy, education, and cultural connections.
Praising the CPD and NEF for their role in promoting dialogue and knowledge-sharing, the Ambassador encouraged continued research to bolster economic partnerships between the two nations. He underscored the progress in Bangladesh-Nepal relations and called for deeper collaboration to unlock new opportunities for mutual growth.
