Nepal Ambassador Urges Stronger Bangladesh Ties in Trade, Energy, and Education

Dhaka, August 4, 2025 – Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanashyam Bhandari, has called for deeper collaboration between Dhaka and Kathmandu in key sectors including trade, investment, energy, education, and people-to-people relations to strengthen bilateral ties.

Speaking at a roundtable titled *"Bangladesh-Nepal Relations: A Renewed Outlook"*, organized by the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) and Nepal Economic Forum (NEF) in Dhaka, Ambassador Bhandari highlighted the progress in Bangladesh-Nepal relations and outlined opportunities for further cooperation. He emphasized the need for improved connectivity and increased cultural and touristic exchanges to foster stronger people-to-people engagement.

Bhandari also advocated for enhanced collaboration on regional and global platforms, particularly in areas such as sustainable development goals, climate change, migration, disaster preparedness, and peacekeeping.
Commending the efforts of CPD and NEF in promoting dialogue and knowledge-sharing, the ambassador encouraged both organizations to continue research initiatives to build a robust economic partnership between Bangladesh and Nepal.
