Palestine Embassy Rejects Claims of Bangladesh Restricting Palestinian Entry

Dhaka, August 4, 2025 – The Embassy of Palestine in Bangladesh has strongly dismissed media reports alleging that the interim government of Bangladesh has restricted the entry of Palestinians into the country, labeling such claims as “unfounded” and harmful to the longstanding ties between the two nations.

In a statement issued on Monday, the embassy condemned the spread of “misleading information” that undermines Bangladesh’s historic support for the Palestinian cause. It warned that such reports play into the hands of “Zionist occupying powers and their allies” and urged Bangladeshi media outlets to uphold high standards of accuracy in their reporting.

“Allegations that Bangladesh and its embassies abroad restrict the entry of Palestinians into Bangladesh are entirely unfounded and deliberately misrepresent the truth,” the statement read. “Such misinformation only serves the interests of those hostile to both our nations and undermines the Palestinian cause as well as the historic bonds of brotherhood between Palestine and Bangladesh.” The embassy highlighted Bangladesh’s consistent support for Palestine since its independence, expressing gratitude for the nation’s unwavering solidarity. It emphasized that false claims not only mislead public opinion but also unfairly shift blame from the occupying power to Bangladesh, one of Palestine’s steadfast supporters.
The Palestine Embassy called on media outlets to verify information before publication to avoid harming the deep friendship and historic ties between the two countries. “Neglecting due diligence risks causing harm to both Palestine and Bangladesh,” the statement concluded, expressing hope that the enduring bonds between the two nations remain intact.
