Bangladesh Chief Adviser Attends Luncheon Hosted by Malaysian PM in Putrajaya

Putrajaya, August 12, 2025 – Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser, Professor Muhammad Yunus, joined Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for a luncheon at the latter’s residence in Putrajaya today. The event was hosted in honor of Professor Yunus, who is on a three-day state visit to Malaysia at the invitation of the Malaysian Prime Minister.

The luncheon was attended by members of the Malaysian Cabinet and the Chief Adviser’s entourage. A vibrant cultural performance by local artists added a colorful touch to the occasion, showcasing Malaysia’s rich heritage.

Earlier in the day, upon arriving at the Prime Minister’s residence, Professor Yunus was warmly welcomed by school students. The Chief Adviser arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Monday evening to strengthen bilateral ties and discuss regional issues, including peace efforts in Myanmar and support for Rohingya refugees.
