German Development Cooperation Launches PRECISE Project to Boost Skills Development in Bangladesh

Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh – August 15, 2025 – German Development Cooperation has unveiled the Promoting Resilient and Circular Economy through Skills Enhancement (PRECISE) project, introducing the dual Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) model in Bangladesh. This initiative marks a significant step toward building a skilled workforce for green and sustainable industries.

The dual TVET model integrates classroom learning with hands-on, on-the-job training, equipping workers with practical skills to meet modern industry demands. The project aims to benefit over 1,000 industrial workers, polytechnic students, graduates, and experts, aligning Bangladesh’s workforce with EU sustainability standards and enhancing trade opportunities.

The PRECISE project was launched in Cox’s Bazar in collaboration with GIZ, the Ministry of Education, and key stakeholders, including representatives from the German Embassy, the EU Delegation, industry leaders, and civil society. The initiative underscores a commitment to fostering safer, greener industries in Bangladesh.
