Nepal and Bangladesh Strengthen Power Sector Cooperation

Dhaka, July 11, 2025 – Nepal’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, Mr. Ghanashyam Bhandari, met with the Honorable Adviser for Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources of Bangladesh, H.E. Mr. Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, this morning to discuss enhancing bilateral and sub-regional cooperation in the power sector. During the meeting, both sides acknowledged the significant progress made in their collaborative efforts and expressed a shared commitment to accelerating ongoing negotiations. The discussions focused on consolidating partnerships to bolster energy cooperation, aiming to foster sustainable development and regional energy security.

The meeting underscores the growing ties between Nepal and Bangladesh in the energy sector, with both nations keen on advancing mutually beneficial initiatives.
