Indian Medical Team Arrives in Dhaka to Aid Uttara Crash Victims

Dhaka, July 24, 2025 – A specialized team of burn specialists and nurses from India arrived in Dhaka on Wednesday night to assist in treating victims of the recent Uttara aircraft crash. The team, equipped with essential medical supplies, landed at 9:30 PM, according to the Indian High Commission.

Comprising doctors and nurses from Delhi’s premier Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and Safdarjung Hospital, known for their expertise in burns and plastic surgery, the team will evaluate the condition of the patients and provide recommendations for further treatment. The Indian High Commission, citing India’s Ministry of External Affairs, noted that the team may facilitate specialized care in India if required.

The High Commission also indicated that additional medical teams could be deployed based on the initial assessment and treatment needs. This swift response underscores India’s commitment to supporting Bangladesh in the wake of the tragic crash on Monday.
