China Donates Emergency Medical Supplies to Bangladesh Following Aircraft Crash

Dhaka, July 26, 2025 – In a gesture of solidarity, the Chinese government handed over emergency medical supplies to Bangladesh during a ceremony held today. The event was attended by H.E. Mr. Yao Wen, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bangladesh, alongside H.E. Md. Saidur Rahman, Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Md. Abu Jafor, Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), and Mr. Mohammad Nashir Uddin, Director of the National Institute of Burns and Plastic Surgery.

The donation, comprising over 2,000 essential medicines and surgical instruments, was provided by the Foreign Affairs Office of Yunnan Province and the Wuhan Third Hospital of China. This assistance is part of China's emergency response to support Bangladesh in treating those injured in a recent aircraft crash.

Ambassador Yao Wen reiterated China's commitment to supporting Bangladesh, stating that further assistance would be provided based on the country's needs. The handover underscores the ongoing cooperation between the two nations in addressing humanitarian challenges.
