Bangladesh-South Korea Initiative Provides Free Medical Care to 550 People in Munshiganj

In a joint initiative by Bangladesh and South Korea, a free medical camp was organized in Munshiganj’s Tongibari, offering healthcare services to 550 individuals. The services included eye check-ups, back pain orientation, skin treatments, and blood group testing.

The event, a collaboration between South Korea’s Him Glasses and Bangladesh’s Bikrampur Manabseba Foundation, took place at Swarnagram Radhanath High School on Monday, July 28, from 10 AM to 5 PM. Alongside medical consultations, free eyeglasses and eye drops were distributed to those seeking eye care.

Anis Sardar, a beneficiary from Mulchar, said, “I came here for treatment for my eyes, head, and hand pain. The care provided was excellent.”

Another attendee, Mofizul, shared, “I heard eye doctors from Korea were coming, so I came for treatment as I’ve been having issues with my eyes.”

Abu Bakr Siddique Hira, president of Bikrampur Manabseba Foundation, stated, “We always strive to work for marginalized communities and support the poor and distressed. As part of this commitment, we organized this free medical camp today. With the support of the Korean medical team, we provided free eye care, back pain orientation, and blood group testing to 550 people.”
