Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Bahrain, Md. Rois Hasan Sarwar, held a productive courtesy meeting with Yasser Abdul Rahim Al Abbasi, Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC), at the company’s headquarters in Manama.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Manama reported that the CEO warmly welcomed the ambassador and provided an in-depth presentation on GPIC’s operations, advanced infrastructure, and its pivotal role in the regional petrochemical industry.
Following the discussion, Ambassador Sarwar toured GPIC’s cutting-edge facilities for petrochemical production and manufacturing. He expressed sincere appreciation for the warm hospitality and exceptional reception extended by the CEO and GPIC’s management team. Highlighting the contributions of Bangladeshi workers, the ambassador urged the company to consider increasing opportunities for skilled Bangladeshi professionals in their workforce.
He also voiced optimism about strengthening bilateral ties between Bangladesh and Bahrain, particularly in expanding trade, investment, and collaboration within the petrochemical sector.
The meeting was attended by several senior GPIC officials, fostering a constructive dialogue on future cooperation.
