Kuala Lumpur, August 8, 2025 – The Malaysian government has launched multiple-entry visas (MEVs) for Bangladeshi workers, effective from Friday, August 8, 2025. The Malaysian Home Ministry stated that this initiative will enhance the management of migrant worker movement and reduce the misuse of immigration passes, according to Free Malaysia Today, an independent news portal.
The ministry clarified that Bangladeshi workers currently holding temporary work visit passes (PLKS) and single-entry visas will not need to apply separately for MEVs. The Immigration Department will issue MEVs at international entry points as part of the process for extending PLKS for the following year. This measure aims to improve the management of migrant worker traffic, minimize immigration pass misuse, and reduce congestion for new visa applications at Malaysian missions abroad.
