The Royal Thai Embassy, in collaboration with the Thai Trade Center in Dhaka, successfully organized Thailand Week 2025 from July 10 to 12 at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel. The event aimed to strengthen economic and cultural ties between Thailand and Bangladesh, showcasing opportunities for trade, investment, and cultural exchange.
A high-level business delegation, led by Mr. Adul Chotinisakorn, Advisor to the Thai-Bangladesh Business Council, explored economic potentials in Bangladesh during the event. The delegation engaged with the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and JETRO Bangladesh, and participated in a business matching session to foster partnerships.
On July 9, the Embassy and the Bangladesh-Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry co-hosted a seminar titled “Finding Complementarities for Bangladesh-Thailand Economic Prosperity.” The seminar focused on integrating strengths to enhance supply chain collaboration and improve transportation links, particularly between Ranong on Thailand’s western coast and Chittagong.
Culturally, the event was enriched by performances from a troupe from Ang Thong College of Dramatic Arts, captivating attendees with traditional Thai artistry. On the sidelines, the Embassy supported the Pan Pacific Sonargaon in hosting the Thai Gourmet Gala, featuring Chef Kroongtana Nimnu of Bombay Hut Restaurant in Chiang Mai as the Special Chef, delighting guests with authentic Thai cuisine.
Thailand Week 2025 underscored the growing partnership between the two nations, paving the way for deeper economic and cultural collaboration.
