The Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh handed over a donation of anti-dengue supplies to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in a ceremony attended by Dr. Liu Yuyin, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Chinese Embassy, Professor Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman, Special Assistant to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Prof. Dr. Md. Abu Jafor, Director General of DGHS.
Dr. Liu emphasized the strong ties between China and Bangladesh, describing them as good neighbors, friends, and partners. He highlighted that the donation reflects the commitment of both nations’ leaders to deepen cooperation. “China will continue to support Bangladesh’s healthcare development, contributing to a shared future for global health,” Liu said. Professor Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman expressed gratitude for China’s consistent support, noting that the supplies will significantly ease the burden of the dengue epidemic in Bangladesh. He expressed hope for further collaboration in health and other sectors to benefit both nations.
