Algerian President and Prime Minister Express Condolences for Dhaka Fighter Jet Crash

Dhaka, July 28, 2025 – Algeria has expressed profound grief and solidarity following the tragic crash of a military fighter jet in Dhaka, which resulted in numerous casualties and injuries.

In a statement released by the Algerian Embassy in Dhaka on Monday, July 28, Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui extended their deepest condolences to Bangladesh’s President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.

The Algerian leaders conveyed heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims and wished for a swift recovery for those injured. They also expressed solidarity with the government and people of Bangladesh during this time of national mourning.

President Tebboune and Prime Minister Larbaoui recalled the longstanding friendship between Bangladesh and Algeria, reaffirming their commitment to stand by the people of Bangladesh as they recover from this tragedy.
